Parameter Identification of DOC Model Based on Variable Forgetting Factor Least Squares

In diesel engine after-treatment control technology, the accurate real-time of Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) outlet temperature is an important topic. To find a high-precision parameter identification algorithm for DOC system, this paper establishes zero-dimensional (0D) and one-dimensional (1D) mathematical models DOC, introduces Variable Forgetting Factor Least Squares(VFFRLS) Nonlinear Squares comparison analysis. The results show that 0D determination coefficient R-square around 0.9, root mean square error (RSME) 23.682, 1D mostly less than value RSME 32.649; VFFRLS 1, below 0.02. Therefore, more suitable model.
